Do you know about the Feminist Porn Awards? They awarded this one site, I think it was called the art of blowjob an award. It’s incredibly sexy and far as I know, ethically produced. Feminist Porn Awards may be a good source of this kind of thing, too. They’re put on a Toronto sex shop called Good for Her.

HI Micah,
I’ve been reading your memoir and it is excellent!! You did a great job, and I loved connecting to the characters since I know a few of them personally, even though we haven’t talked much lately, or me with your mom much.
Memoir is my most favorite kind of reading and writing!!
From studying the genre for a long time I know, especially, if you get personal, which you do, that family members are going to be pissed. And somethings on your notes and interview show that that has happened.
Being a writer myself who has read and studied memoir writers must, if the book is going to be true, must do what they must do!! Good for you, and I hope any friction that occures between family members, over time, might be healed!
As I’m sure you’re aware Arny is coming to town next April doing worldwork 13-19th.
Congratulations Micah, and all the best with your writing!!

Great thoughts on this subject! Putting some stress on the consumer is definitely a fresh take on the industry. Ethically speaking, I don’t think we’ll ever really come to any sort of moral conclusion. Porn is something we consume and admit we consume and leave the conversation there.
